(A poem inspired by Phil Collins song titles)

In the Air Tonight,
A silent scream, a heavy fight.
Against All Odds, I stand alone,
But deep inside, the fear has grown.

Take Me Home, where I can rest,
From battles fought inside my chest.
Another Day in Paradise, they say,
Yet clouds of doubt won’t go away.

I Don’t Care Anymore, I tell myself,
As pride collects dust on the shelf.
But You’ll Be in My Heart, I know,
Through the highs and deepest low.

I Wish It Would Rain Down on me,
To wash away what I can’t see.
One More Night to make it through,
In hope that light will soon renew.

Something Happened on the Way to Heaven,
A break, a breath, a touch of leaven.
You Can’t Hurry Love, or healing too,
But with time, you find what’s true.

Through A Groovy Kind of Love, I’ll heal,
Reclaim the strength, embrace what’s real.
For men, it’s tough to share this strife,
But That’s Just the Way It Is—
the rhythm of life.
