(A poem inspired by Guns ’n’ Roses song titles)

In this Jungle I roam, lost in November Rain,
Through the storms of my mind, I carry the pain.
Patience they say, but my heart’s Estranged,
Wandering these streets, feeling ever so Strange.

In this Civil War, I fight with myself,
The Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door no one else can tell.
I search for Paradise City to escape the grind,
But it’s My Michelle that haunts my mind.

With Sweet Child O’ Mine still in my heart,
I keep falling apart, yet yearn for a start.
Don’t Cry they tell me, though inside I scream,
Caught between darkness and a shattered dream.

But I’ll rise from these shadows, stronger each day,
In the echoes of Yesterdays, I’ll find my way.
