Beneath the Surface

(A poem inspired by Emeli Sande song titles)
In a world where we hold our breath,
Where voices whisper, “You’ll be okay,”
But beneath the surface, there’s a weight,
A heart that’s heavy, lost in the fray.
Sometimes we fall, sometimes we rise,
But the scars we carry tell no lies.
In the silence, it’s hard to confess,
The battles we fight, the need to express.
But next to me, you’re never alone,
Together we’ll face what we’ve never known.
With my kind of love, we’ll break the chain,
Transforming our struggles into strength from pain.
So let’s be brave and share the light,
A journey of healing, we’ll make it right.
Through every storm, let our spirits soar,
For you are not alone—this we can explore.
