Satisfaction

(A poem inspired by The Rolling Stones song titles)
Under My Thumb, the weight feels heavy,
Paint It Black, the mind turns dark,
Gimme Shelter from this stormy weather,
But I still feel the world falling apart.
I’m Waiting on a Friend who understands,
But You Can’t Always Get What You Want in life.
Wild Horses drag me to places unknown,
Through anger and pain, I push through strife.
Sometimes I feel like Tumbling Dice,
Taking chances, rolling alone,
But Time Is on My Side, I remind myself,
I won’t face this Beast of Burden on my own.
In Shattered moments, I’ll rise again,
For Start Me Up brings new hope,
With Heart of Stone, I build my strength,
Finding peace, Satisfaction. learning how to cope.
