‘For Men To Talk – Biggleswade’ moves to a new permanent home

Biggleswade, General News, Meetings, News & Events

July 2026 marks an exciting new chapter for ‘For Men To Talk – Biggleswade’ as both the morning and evening meetings move to a new permanent home.

From July, all ‘For Men To Talk – Biggleswade’ physical meetings will take place at the Northfields Community Room, Northfield Road, Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, SG18 0HD.

As part of the move, the ‘For Men To Talk – Biggleswade (Good Morning)’ meeting will also change its regular day from Thursday to Monday, helping the group continue to grow and support more men in the local community.

The move is another important milestone for ‘For Men To Talk’, which first launched its physical meetings in Biggleswade back in January 2020. Biggleswade was the first town to host a face-to-face group, and since then the organisation has gone from strength to strength, expanding its support across Bedfordshire and beyond.

Today, ‘For Men To Talk’ offers a range of opportunities for men to connect and support one another. Alongside its physical peer support meetings, the organisation also runs virtual meetings, walking groups, fishing groups, and social meetings. These different formats help ensure that men can find a style of support that suits them.

The organisation has also expanded its specialist support through ‘For Men To Talk about Autism’. This dedicated group is for autistic men, men who have autistic family members, and those who may be waiting for a diagnosis. It provides a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space where people can connect, share experiences, and learn from one another.

There is even more to look forward to in the coming months. ‘For Men To Talk’ will soon launch the ‘For Men To Talk Shed’ in Stotfold. The project will provide a hands-on, creative workshop environment where men can take part in practical activities, build confidence, learn new skills, and develop friendships within their community.

The move to Northfields Community Room would not be possible without recognising the venues that have supported the group over the years. Jones Café Bar has welcomed ‘For Men To Talk’ on two separate occasions during the last six and a half years, most recently since March 2025. The Bigg Theatre has also played an important role, hosting the morning meetings for just over a year.

Luke Newman, CEO of ‘For Men To Talk’, said: “As we begin this exciting new chapter for ‘For Men To Talk – Biggleswade’, I would like to thank Jones Café Bar and The Bigg Theatre hugely for their incredible support and hospitality over the years. Both venues have played an important part in helping us provide a safe and welcoming space for men to talk. We are grateful for everything they have done and look forward to continuing our journey at Northfields Community Room, supporting even more men in the community.”

The ‘For Men To Talk – Biggleswade’ physical meetings in July at Northfields Community Room will be held on:

  • Monday 6 July 2026: 6pm-8pm
  • Monday 13 July 2026: 11am-12:30pm
  • Monday 20 July 2026: 6pm-8pm
