For Men To Talk Launches Dedicated Social Media Pages for Virtual Meetings

General News, News & Events

‘For Men To Talk’ is pleased to announce the launch of its new ‘For Men To Talk – Virtual Meeting’ social media pages on ‘Facebook and Instagram’.

The Facebook page can be found at ‘For Men To Talk – Virtual Meeting’ and Instagram page via: formentotalk_virtualmtg.

The new pages have been created to promote the weekly Wednesday evening Virtual Meetings, which take place every week at ‘6pm’, while also highlighting the many benefits of joining a meeting from the comfort of home.

As ‘For Men To Talk’ has grown over the years, it has introduced dedicated social media pages for many of its groups and locations, including its village and town meetings, ‘For Men To Talk about Autism’, the ‘For Men To Talk Social Club’, and the upcoming ‘For Men To Talk Shed’. The new Virtual Meeting pages are the latest addition, making it even easier for men to find information that is relevant to them.

‘For Men To Talk’ is a peer support group for men living with mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression and grief. It provides a safe, welcoming and relaxed environment where men can talk openly without judgement.

The conversations cover many areas of life, including work, relationships, family, stress, anxiety and anything else that may be affecting a man’s mental health. There is no pressure to speak. Men can share as much or as little as they feel comfortable with.

There is also no registration, referral or cost to attend. Men simply join the meeting and take part if they wish.

The Wednesday evening Virtual Meetings are ideal for men who may not be able to attend a face-to-face meeting because of work, family commitments, travel or health reasons. Joining online also allows men to access support from wherever they are, helping to remove barriers that might stop someone from reaching out.

Luke Newman, CEO and founder of ‘For Men To Talk’, said: “Our Virtual Meetings have helped many men access support who may never have attended a face-to-face meeting. By launching dedicated Facebook and Instagram pages, we hope to reach even more men, explain the benefits of joining online, and remind them that support is available every Wednesday evening.”

Today, ‘For Men To Talk’ offers physical, virtual, walking, social and fishing meetings across Ampthill, Biggleswade, Potton and Sandy in Bedfordshire, St Neots and Gamlingay in Cambridgeshire, and Hitchin in Hertfordshire.

The organisation also runs ‘For Men To Talk about Autism’, a dedicated group for autistic men, men with autistic family members, and those waiting for an autism diagnosis. In addition, the ‘For Men To Talk Social Club’ gives men the chance to spend time together through trips to restaurants, cinemas and comedy clubs, without focusing on mental health discussions.

Later this year, ‘For Men To Talk Shed’ will launch, providing a practical workshop where men can build confidence, learn new skills and enjoy therapeutic, hands-on activities while connecting with others.
