Find my Way Out of this Hole

(A poem inspired by David Bowie song titles)
I’m feeling like an Absolute Beginner,
Waking up each day with a Sound and Vision blur.
In the mirror, I’m searching for a Changes sign,
But I’m caught between Ashes to Ashes and losing my mind.
Under Pressure, I pretend I’m Heroes today,
Though inside, I’m fading like a Modern Love in decay.
The Man Who Sold the World whispers in my ear,
Telling me, Let’s Dance away all this fear.
Yet when the night falls like Blackstar so wide,
I feel like The Thin White Duke, losing my pride.
Rock ‘n’ Roll Suicide echoes in my soul,
But maybe I’ll find my way out of this hole.
So I stand here, calling out to the Starman above,
Asking if there’s a way to feel self-love.
In the end, I’ll keep walking through this mental maze,
Hoping to find my peace in Golden Years days.
