The Mulberry Community Chest donates £1000 to ‘For Men To Talk’

As part of their monthly community fund, The Mulberry Community Chest, Mulberry Homes are very proud to be donating £1,000 to For Men To Talk.
The community interest company was founded by Luke Newman, who suffered with grief and anxiety since losing his mother and sister to cancer, after he recognised that there weren’t any groups for men to simply talk.
The group now runs over 100 meetings per year, both virtually and in-person in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, and St Neots and Cambourne, Cambridgeshire. Alongside the meetings, the group also runs ‘For Men to Talk and Walk’ which promotes the mental and physical health benefits of exercising and talking.
Mulberry Homes, said: “We are very proud to be supporting For Men To Talk this August, and to be raising awareness for men’s mental health.
“The construction industry typically has a high number of male workers, so it felt fitting to offer our support to For Men To Talk. This will be the third time we’ve donated to their vital work, and we’re delighted to be making another £1,000 contribution.”
“This very kind donation from Mulberry Homes, as part of The Mulberry Community Chest, will allow the continual opportunity for men to discuss their mental health,” said Luke. “In the first half of 2022, we had over 700 attendees to over 50 virtual, physical and walking meetings that we held. Thanks to this contribution, we aim to hold even more meetings and give more men the chance to talk”.
