Carrying the Weight He’s Never Shown

(A poem inspired by Sting and the Police song titles)
Fragile Spirits, Invisible Pain
In the Fields of Gold, he walks alone,
Carrying the weight he’s never shown.
Invisible Sun, shining in his mind,
But the shadows linger, hard to find.
He whispers softly, Don’t Stand So Close to Me,
Afraid of the storm that others can’t see.
His heart cries out, Message in a Bottle,
But silence surrounds, a constant throttle.
In the quiet moments, Every Breath You Take,
He counts the mistakes he cannot shake.
Yearning for comfort, but lost in Desert Rose,
Hiding his tears where no one goes.
He knows he’s fragile, like Russians in their fight,
Wrestling with feelings in the dark of the night.
Still, there’s hope in the words he’ll soon sing,
For even in darkness, the heart finds its King of Pain.
