St Neots Town FC supports local mens mental health groups
St Neots Town FC have agreed to give ‘For Men To Talk’, ‘Walk and Talk For Men-St Neots’ and ‘Andy’s Man Club’ advertising space in the ground for the work they do.
“We feel it is important to sign post people in the right direction if they are struggling and in a male dominated environment we thought this was a match made in heaven.”, said a St Neots Town FC spokesperson. “It’s okay to not be okay and these groups are in our community to help.”
Football advertising boards, also known as perimeter boards or perimeter advertising, are the billboards or signs that are placed around the perimeter of a football pitch. These boards are typically used to display advertisements for businesses or organisations, and they can be seen by the spectators at the game. They are a common feature of professional football stadiums, and can be a significant source of revenue for the teams that play there.
“The number of cases involving young suicides, especially in Cambridgeshire, is worrying. We desperately need to promote any support available in the local community” said Luke Newman, founder of ‘For Men To Talk’. “We cannot thank St Neots Town FC enough for kindly given us all a platform to promote our groups, free of charge.”
‘For Men To Talk’ host physical meetings at The Crown Hotel, Weatherspoon in Biggleswade, St Neots Golf Club, Gamlingay Eco Hub, Sandy Roundabout Club, weekly virtual meetings via Zoom and a monthly walking event.
‘For Men To Talk’ can be found on their website www.formentotalk.co.uk and social media channels. Luke is also available for any questions on 07709 446480.
