General News, News & Events, The Mental Health Moles

Face-to-face promotion is an important tool for ‘For Men To Talk’ to raise awareness and generate support for our cause to get more men to discuss their mental health. Here are some reasons why face-to-face promotion is so effective for us:

Personal Connection: Face-to-face promotion allows ‘For Men To Talk’ facilitators and volunteers to make a personal connection with potential attendees and supporters. By speaking directly with people and answering their questions, we can build a rapport and establish trust. This can result in a stronger emotional connection to the groups cause and a greater likelihood of support and usage.

Increased Awareness: This can help raise awareness about ‘For Men To Talk’s mission and the issues we address. By speaking directly with people and educating them about the cause, we can increase understanding and support of the work we are doing.

Immediate Feedback: Face-to-face promotion provides us with immediate feedback on our message and approach. This can help us refine our marketing strategy and improve our overall impact.

Build Relationships: This allows ‘For Men To Talk’ to build relationships with existing and potential supporters. By interacting directly with people and engaging them in conversations about our cause, it can create a sense of community and establish long-term relationships.

Increased Engagement: By attending face-to-face events, it encourages engagement from people, as they are more likely to remember our cause and be inspired to take action when they have had a personal interaction with a facilitator or volunteer.

On that note, ‘For Men To Talk’ have been invited to Jordans Mill for their first monthly craft fayre of the year on Saturday 4 March 2023.

Jordans Mill is a historic flour mill located in the village of Broom, Bedfordshire, England. The mill was built in the early 19th century and has been in operation for over 200 years, making it one of the oldest working flour mills in the country. The mill is a Grade II listed building and is considered to be an important part of England’s industrial heritage.

The mill was built by William Jordan and has been passed down through generations of the Jordan family. It has been used to produce a variety of flours, including wholemeal flour, self-raising flour and pastry flour. The mill has been fitted with modern machinery and continues to produce high-quality flours to this day.

Visitors to Jordans Mill can take a tour of the mill and learn about the traditional process of making flour. The tour guides are knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the mill and they will explain how the mill works, the different types of flour that are produced, and the history of milling in the UK. The tour includes a visit to the mill’s waterwheel, which powers the mill and the millstone room, where visitors can see the millstones that are used to grind the grain into flour.

The mill also has a shop, where visitors can purchase a variety of flours, as well as other food and drink products made from locally sourced ingredients.

The mill is surrounded by beautiful countryside and visitors can take a walk along the River Ivel, which runs through the mill grounds. The area is home to a variety of wildlife, including kingfishers, herons and otters and it is a popular spot for bird-watching.

‘For Men To Talk’ will join local, independent traders in face-to-face promotion, with a variety of stalls including sweet and savoury treats, hand-made items, outdoor gifts, locally made food and more.

Not only will ‘For Men To Talk’ discuss the physical groups, held in Biggleswade, St.Neots, Gamlingay, Sandy and virtually, it will give an opportunity to publicise ‘The Mental Health Moles’ book.

‘The Mental Health Moles’ is a book discussing mental health topics, such as anxiety, depression, grief, social media, stress, sleep and many more. Ideal for men, women, boys and girls, shoppers will see why it’s sparking conversations for families about mental health.
