KSI and Logan Paul are both British and American YouTubers respectively, who rose to fame through their YouTube channels. Between them, they are also active boxers, a musician and even a WWE wrestler and have a huge fan base on social media. The launch of their Prime drink was announced by them on their YouTube channels and social media platforms.Prime drink is a drink brand that was launched by YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul in 2022. The drink is marketed as a healthy alternative to traditional energy drinks and contains a blend of vitamins, minerals and caffeine and your children are going crazy for it! According to the company, Prime is designed to help users stay focused and energised throughout the day without the crash associated with other drinks.The ingredients in a Prime drink include caffeine, B vitamins, and L-carnitine. The caffeine content is 150mg per can, which is slightly higher than a standard cup of coffee. B vitamins are added to support energy metabolism and L-carnitine is an amino acid that helps to support muscle function and recovery.The drink comes in the standard flavours of Prime including Blue Raspberry, Grape, Ice Pop, Lemon Lime, Orange and Tropical Punch and Meta Moon. In February 2023, KSI launched a limited Mango flavour. The company claims that the drinks are vegan, gluten-free, and non-GMO.KSI and Logan Paul have been promoting the drink heavily on their social media platforms, with videos and pictures of them consuming the drink and extolling its benefits. They also have been promoting the brand by giving away free prime drinks to their followers on social media platforms.Since its launch in 2020 and being a limited edition product, the Prime drink has seen a restricted amount of stock available. This, combined with high demand, can make it difficult to purchase from supermarkets and smaller shops. Additionally, supply chain disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic may also contribute to difficulty in obtaining the product. This doesn’t help the fans of KSI and Paul who desperately want a bottle. While it enjoyed a successful launch in the United States, Prime has experienced much more demand in the UK than it has been able to supply.Originally an Asda product, the supermarket chain, realising just how great demand was, increased the price of a 500ml bottle by 25% to £2. Adults believed that the this is a high price tag for a soft drink.After the Asda’s exclusive deal came to an end, supermarkets such as Aldi and Spar started to stock Prime. However, with the popularity and demand, stock quickly sold out in minutes and being placed on the shelves. The availability in the next few stocks is then limited. There is even the ‘Prime Tracker UK’ mobile app which provides details for the children on the stores where the bottles are available.With that, comes the opportunity for profiting. Smaller shops and eBay sellers acquire stock and sell them for an even more higher price. Some are advertising for upward of £20 per 500ml bottle, depending on the flavour. Representatives have said that they are working on better and more frequent supplies for supermarkets, selling at the original price of £2.
