For Men To Talk expands its reach with seventh group meeting in Potton, Bedfordshire
‘For Men To Talk’, a peer support group aimed at fostering open conversations and mental health support among men, is excited to announce the launch of its seventh physical group meeting in the town of Potton, Bedfordshire.
The inaugural meeting will take place on Tuesday 12 September 2023 at 6pm at the esteemed Rising Sun venue. With this expansion, ‘For Men To Talk’ aims to provide a safe and welcoming space for men in Potton to come together and engage in meaningful discussions. This follows the success of existing meetings in Sandy, Gamlingay, Biggleswade, St Neots, Bedford, and Stockport.
‘For Men To Talk’ is committed to addressing the mental health challenges that many men face and breaking down the barriers preventing them from seeking support. The group believes that facilitating open dialogues among men can create a supportive environment that encourages emotional expression and well-being.
The decision to launch the Potton group comes in response to the growing demand for such supportive spaces in the local area. By expanding their network, ‘For Men To Talk’ aims to reach out to a larger audience and make a positive impact on more mens lives.
The Rising Sun in Potton has graciously offered their second floor, away from the public, to host the upcoming meetings, providing a comfortable and confidential setting for participants to share their experiences. The group will meet every month, offering men the opportunity to discuss a wide range of topics, including mental health challenges, personal experiences, relationships and coping mechanisms.
Luke Newman, the founder of ‘For Men To Talk’, expressed his enthusiasm for the expansion, saying, “We are thrilled to launch the Potton group meeting. Our existing groups have demonstrated the immense power of open conversations and peer support. By expanding to Potton, we aim to continue this positive impact and connect with even more men who may benefit from our platform.”
The existing meetings in Sandy, Gamlingay, Biggleswade, St Neots, Bedford, and Stockport have received overwhelming support and have helped foster a strong sense of community among participants. The group adheres to a strict code of confidentiality, ensuring that members feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and emotions without judgment.
‘For Men To Talk’ extends an open invitation to all men in Potton and surrounding areas to join the upcoming meeting. Whether one seeks support or simply wishes to engage in meaningful conversations, the group welcomes men from all walks of life.
