Healthwatch Central Bedfordshire welcoming For Men To Talk at the Central Bedfordshire Council Staff Conference
Healthwatch Central Bedfordshire is proud to announce its collaboration with ‘For Men To Talk,’ a renowned men’s peer support group, at the Central Bedfordshire Council Staff Conference scheduled for Monday 13 November 2023. The event will take place at the Rufus Centre in Flitwick.
The conference, themed ‘Wellbeing,’ is an initiative by Central Bedfordshire Council to encourage its staff members to explore and engage with partner organisations specialising in wellbeing services. The objective is to provide CBC staff with valuable insights into enhancing their physical and mental health while also promoting the existing wellbeing services available to the community.
Healthwatch Central Bedfordshire believes in the importance of fostering healthy behaviours and wellbeing among CBC staff members. Therefore, we have invited ‘For Men To Talk’ to participate in the conference, providing them with a stall. Their presence will be part of a select group of organisations focused on promoting their services and supporting the staff’s overall wellbeing.
The conference is expected to draw approximately 150 Central Bedfordshire Council staff members, primarily from the Adult Social Care department. Attendees will include Social Care workers, Assurance, Monitoring, and Quality Officers, Administrators, and senior management.
This occasion offers a unique opportunity for ‘For Men To Talk’ to interact with the professionals working in Adult Social Care, enabling them to address any concerns, discuss their services, and outline how they contribute to the wellbeing of local residents.
Healthwatch Central Bedfordshire encourages ‘For Men To Talk’ and other organisations to take full advantage of this platform to enhance awareness about their services and their commitment to promoting health and wellbeing. By participating in this conference, ‘For Men To Talk’ will play a pivotal role in furthering the cause of improved mental and physical health within the Central Bedfordshire Council community.
“I’m honoured to have been recognised by Healthwatch Central Bedfordshire and being offered a stall at Central Bedfordshire Council Staff Conference,” said Luke Newman, ‘For Men To Talk’ founder. “Together we align perfectly with our mission to enhance wellbeing within the community,”
Together they hope that this collaboration will contribute significantly to promoting healthier behaviours among Central Bedfordshire Council staff and, in turn, improve the overall wellbeing of the residents they serve.
