Another year for East Anglia Scale Trail (EAST) supporting ‘For Men To Talk’
In today’s fast-paced world, it’s essential to find ways to manage stress and promote mental well-being. One activity that has gained popularity in recent years is the use of electric radio control (RC) cars. Not only are these miniature vehicles a source of entertainment, but they also offer numerous benefits for men’s mental health.
For the third year, The East Anglia Scale Trail (EAST) will be supporting ‘For Men To Talk’ men’s peer support at their next family event. This year the two-day weekend will be held at Avalanche Adventure, Sibbertoft, near Market Harborough, LE16 9UJ, over the weekend of 15th and 16th June 2024.
The venue is surrounded by woodland. It’s a 10 acre quarry full of impressive terrain such as steep hills and descents, technical sections, visual displays, mud and water, side slopes and wading sections! Basically, it’s an RC heaven! There will be gated trails throughout the woodland, a super scale trail, a micro crawler area and competition, a rally course, a bashing area, and a sled pull, along with a few surprises on each day. There will be a GCRC sponsored competition for classes 1, 2 & 3. There will be a raffle drawn on Sunday afternoon with tickets available all weekend.
The East Anglia Scale Trail (EAST) have confirmed that vendors will be available including food of various types along with multiple radio control shops. There will also be an onsite cafe with seating available inside and outside. With plenty of parking, overnight camping onsite will also be on hand.
“I can’t thank The East Anglia Scale Trail (EAST) enough, for once again supporting us,” said ‘For Men To Talk’ founder Luke Newman. “Last year, I attended the Bedford Electric Radio Control Club with my twin boys. It’s a simply incredible place and fully inclusion for men, women, boys and girls. Electric remote control cars gets you out and about can make you feel happier and more relaxed.
“With Bedford Electric Radio Control Club (BERCC) and ‘For Men To Talk’, we both strive to improve the mental health for all our attendees,” said Paul Baker. “The previous East Anglia Scale Trail (EAST) family events were a huge success, the generosity of all the people that came to the event was outstanding and we are delighted to support ‘For Men To Talk’ once again in 2024.”
