‘For Men To Talk’ launches new walking group in Rushmoor
‘For Men To Talk’ is excited to announce the launch of its newest walking group in Rushmoor. The inaugural event, ‘For Men To Talk – Rushmoor’, is scheduled for Sunday 14 April 2024, starting at 10:00 am. Participants will gather at the front of the Wellington Statue to embark on a journey of camaraderie, support, and well-being.
This expansion comes on the heels of the resounding success experienced by ‘For Men To Talk’ in various communities across the United Kingdom. The company has been instrumental in fostering open conversations about mental health while promoting the benefits of physical activity. Existing groups in Sandy, Potton and Biggleswade in Bedfordshire, Hitchin in Hertfordshire, Gamlingay and St Neots in Cambridgeshire and Stockport and Marple in Cheshire have garnered widespread acclaim for their positive impact on participants’ lives.
Mike Grange, the newly appointed Voluntary Group Facilitator for ‘For Men To Talk – Rushmoor’, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative. “I would like to provide a safe and comfortable environment for men to talk about their mental health, as well as feeling the benefits of walking on their physical health,” he remarked. Grange’s dedication to creating a supportive atmosphere underscores the company’s commitment to prioritising mental well-being.
The walking group presents a unique opportunity for men in Rushmoor to engage in meaningful conversations, connect with like-minded individuals, and take proactive steps toward improved mental and physical health. By combining the therapeutic effects of walking with the power of peer support, ‘For Men To Talk – Rushmoor’ aims to break down barriers surrounding mental health and encourage a culture of openness and resilience within the community.
“Launching ‘For Men To Talk – Rushmoor’ is a testament to our commitment in fostering spaces where men can connect, share, and support each other,” said Luke Newman, Founder of ‘For Men To Talk’. With Mike Grange stepping in as our new Voluntary Group Facilitator, we’re not only expanding our reach but also ensuring that every male attendee finds solace and strength in our collective journey towards mental well-being”.
All men in Rushmoor and surrounding areas are invited to join the inaugural walk and become part of this transformative initiative. Whether seeking solace, companionship, or simply a breath of fresh air, ‘For Men To Talk – Rushmoor’ offers a welcoming space for individuals to share their stories, lend a listening ear, and embark on a journey toward holistic well-being.
