‘For Men To Talk’, a men’s peer support initiative dedicated to fostering mental health discussions among men, is supporting ‘Run The Wade’, a community-focused 5km event aimed at promoting health and well-being, on Sunday 26 May 2024 at 9:30am.

The ‘Run The Wade’ 5km event is not just about running; it’s a platform for community engagement and support. With a commitment to giving back, any surplus funds generated from the event will be reinvested into organising future community activities, with a particular emphasis on charitable endeavours and donations. This ensures that every participant’s stride not only benefits their personal health but also contributes to the greater well-being of our community.

Participants are invited to register and collect their bibs, chip timers, and drop off their belongings at Jones’ Cafe before heading to the starting line on Biggleswade Market Square. Whether running or walking, individuals are encouraged to set their own pace and enjoy a route designed to accommodate all fitness levels.

Finishers of the ‘Run The Wade’ 5km will be rewarded with a personalised medal courtesy of House of Hatton and a goodie bag filled with treats from local sponsors such as Surfin Cafe and Jordans. Additionally, participants will receive a special finishers leaflet offering exclusive deals, including a 25% discount on personal training sessions at Jones’ and other offers from event sponsors.

The event is open to everyone, regardless of fitness level or affiliation. Individuals aged 11 and above are welcome to sign up for the event, with participants under 16 required to be accompanied by a paying adult.

Registration for ‘Run The Wade’ is priced at £10 per entry and can be completed online at https://my.raceresult.com/271744/.
