East Anglia Scale Trail 2024 (EAST ’24): A family event to support men’s mental health through remote control cars
East Anglia Scale Trail 2024 (EAST ’24) is set to return bigger and better than ever, transforming a 10-acre quarry into an remote control car enthusiast’s dream while raising funds and awareness for men’s mental health through the support of ‘For Men To Talk.’
Hosted at Avalanche Adventure Ltd, this two-day family-friendly event, on Saturday 15 and 16 June 2024, will feature a variety of activities to engage remote control car hobbyists of all ages and skill levels. The venue offers a diverse and challenging landscape, including steep hills, descents, technical sections, mud and water obstacles, side slopes, and wading sections.
Event Highlights:
- Gated Trails: Explore woodland trails designed for all skill levels.
- Super Scale Trail: Tackle intricate, scale-accurate courses.
- Micro Crawler Area & Competition: Perfect for the smallest remote control cars.
- Rally Course: Speed through specially designed rally stages.
- Bashing Area: Freestyle fun for those who love to push their Remote control cars to the limit.
- Sled Pull: Test your vehicle’s strength in this exciting competition.
- GCRC Sponsored Competition: Compete in classes 1, 2, and 3 for top honours.
- Raffle: Participate in our weekend-long raffle, with the draw on Sunday afternoon.
To enhance the experience, EAST ’24 will provide dedicated toilet facilities, an on-site café, various food trucks, and a coffee truck. For the first time, the event will span the entire weekend, offering a camping field for attendees who wish to stay overnight.
EAST ’24 proudly supports ‘For Men To Talk,’ a men’s peer support group dedicated to encouraging open discussions about mental health. Luke Newman, the founder of ‘For Men To Talk,’ shared his enthusiasm for the event:
