For the fourth year, ‘For Men To Talk’ joins the TCS London Marathon MyWay

In 2025, ‘For Men To Talk’ is thrilled to participate in the TCS London Marathon MyWay for the fourth time. The TCS London Marathon MyWay lets you complete 26.2 miles, wherever and however you want, on Marathon Day. To earn the official TCS London Marathon finisher medal and a New Balance T-shirt, simply cover the distance any time between 00:00 and 23:59:59 BST on Sunday, 27 April. Do you want to join them?

UK entry costs £30, and you can register at https://www.tcslondonmarathon.com/the-event/virtual-marathon

Joining the TCS London Marathon MyWay is a great chance to challenge yourself while supporting ‘For Men To Talk’, a men’s peer support group that provides a safe space for men facing mental health challenges. The group, a Community Interest Company (CIC), offers various meeting formats including virtual, in-person, walking, and fishing events. These meetings provide a place for men to come together, share, and support each other, helping to reduce the stigma surrounding men’s mental health. As ‘For Men To Talk’ relies on donations and funding to keep these services accessible, why not consider fundraising for them while taking on the TCS London Marathon MyWay?

Training and Health Benefits

To get ready for Marathon Day, ‘For Men To Talk’ offers weekly training walks every Sunday, starting in January, for 12 weeks leading up to the event. This consistent training builds endurance for the 26.2 miles and has proven benefits for both mental and physical health. Walking has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood, and boost energy levels. Spending time outdoors and walking regularly can also lower blood pressure, strengthen muscles, and improve heart health.

Walking is a simple but powerful tool for mental wellness, and training together as a group makes it even better. Walking side-by-side, men can talk openly without the pressure that often comes in face-to-face conversations. The camaraderie of these group walks helps men connect with each other in meaningful ways and build a supportive community around a shared goal. For some, this becomes an outlet for sharing worries, while for others, it’s a chance to feel less isolated and part of something bigger.

Fundraising for ‘For Men To Talk’

Taking part in the TCS London Marathon MyWay as a fundraiser for ‘For Men To Talk’ is a meaningful way to show support. Your contributions will help the group expand its services, giving more men the opportunity to connect and improve their mental health. Whether you’re walking, jogging, or running the distance, each step you take can make a real difference.

By joining this marathon challenge, you’re not only helping yourself but also supporting a community that encourages men to speak up about mental health. Join us for the TCS London Marathon MyWay, and together, let’s make each mile matter!
