Re-Introducing ‘For Men To Talk’ and 2025 meetings
On 1 January 2025, ‘For Men To Talk’ will continue with an exciting program of meetings to support men facing anxiety, depression, and grief. This peer support group offers a safe space for men to talk openly about their struggles, connecting with others who understands.
The topics of conversation are diverse—work, relationships, mental health, and more. There are no strict rules—men can share as much or as little as they want. Importantly, no registration is required, and all meetings are free of charge.
In 2025, ‘For Men To Talk’ will offer a variety of meeting formats to suit everyone:
Virtual Meetings
One Virtual Group Meeting per week. Convenient for those who prefer joining from home.
Physical Meetings
- Biggleswade, Bedfordshire: Two meetings a month at The Crown Hotel (Wetherspoon).
- Potton, Bedfordshire: One meeting a month at the Rising Sun.
- Sandy, Bedfordshire: One meeting a month at the Roundabout Club.
- Gamlingay, Cambridgeshire: One meeting a month at the Eco Hub.
- St Neots, Cambridgeshire: One meeting a month at St Neots Golf Club.
- Marple, Stockport: One meeting a month.
- Stockport: One meeting a month at The Wheatsheaf, Higher Hillgate.
Walking Groups
Walking and talking can be therapeutic. Join these friendly walking sessions:
- Biggleswade: One walk a month starting from Jones’ Cafe.
- Hitchin: Two walks a month starting at St Mary’s Church.
- Rushmoor: Two walks a month starting at the Wellington Statue in Aldershot.
Autism-Specific Meetings
‘For Men To Talk about Autism’: Two meetings a month for autistic men, men with autistic family members, or those awaiting a diagnosis. These inclusive sessions provide tailored support.
Fishing Meetings
‘For Men To Talk and Fish’: Monthly fishing sessions at Manor Farm Lakes in Lower Caldecote.
Led by a qualified Level 2 angling coach with 20+ years of experience, these sessions provide a relaxing way to connect. Tackle, bait, and equipment are provided.
