Fishing, General News, Hobbies, News & Events

Tickets for the 2025 ‘For Men To Talk… and Fish’ meetings are now available! Fishing is a great way to relax, connect with nature, and talk openly with others.

Why Fishing Helps Mental Health
Fishing is more than just a hobby. It provides a peaceful escape from daily stress, helps with focus, and encourages mindfulness. Being outdoors, surrounded by water and fresh air, can lift your mood and reduce anxiety. Plus, it’s a great way to meet like-minded men in a supportive space.

Luke Newman, founder of ‘For Men To Talk,’ says:
“Fishing creates the perfect environment for men to talk. It’s quiet, calming, and there’s no pressure—just the gentle rhythm of nature and good conversation.”

Each meeting is guided by a fully qualified facilitator, who is also a Level 2 angling coach with over 30 years of experience. Fishing tackle, bait, and a rod licence are provided. Each session is limited to 8 men, ensuring a personal and relaxed experience.
