‘For Men To Talk’ at Ivel Valley Locality Networking Event

General News, News & Events

On Friday, 28th February, ‘For Men To Talk’ attended the Ivel Valley (East Mid Beds) Locality Networking Event. The event took place in the Council Chambers at Priory House in Shefford, Bedfordshire. It was a chance for the public and professionals to learn about support services available in the local and wider area.

Various organisations were present, including Carers in Bedfordshire, Bedfordshire Domestic Abuse Partnership, Impakt Housing and Support, and Victim Support. Each organisation played a role in connecting people to vital services.

Luke Newman, founder of ‘For Men To Talk’, shared his thoughts on the event:

“It was great to meet the public and fellow professionals and introduce ‘For Men To Talk’ and what we offer. We received amazing feedback about the need for men’s mental health support. It was also encouraging to hear that ‘For Men To Talk’ is well known in Central Bedfordshire.”

The event also gave an opportunity for Luke to publicise and sell ‘The Mental Health Moles’. The book sees the moles have 52 discussions, filled with advice about mental health topics. Suitable for men, women, boys and girls. Sparking the discussion of mental health in the family. All money goes towards supporting ‘For Men To Talk’.
