The return of ‘The Mental Health Moles’ to the ‘For Men To Talk’ social media channels.

General News, Hobbies, News & Events, The Mental Health Moles

Written by Luke Newman, Founder of ‘For Men To Talk’

As a child, I was always fascinated by the Mr. Men books. I loved when my parents would read them to me, and later, I enjoyed reading them to my own children. The bright colours, bold illustrations, and unique characters, each with their own personality and lesson, left a lasting impression on me.

That childhood love inspired me to create something of my own. I designed two cartoon moles, one with a bowler hat and a slightly smaller one, and began writing short stories for them. These moles would discuss mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and grief. Each Monday, I posted these stories on the ‘For Men To Talk’ social media channels. Before long, I had around 20 stories, and I realised that I could create more and turn them into a book. This could be a way to raise money for ‘For Men To Talk.’

Over the next few weeks, I continued researching, writing, and designing new stories. Topics like social media, sleep, stress, and more were included, bringing the total number of stories to 52. With that, ‘’The Mental Health Moles’’ book was born.

That was nearly four years ago, and I realised recently that I had stopped posting my weekly ‘Mental Health Moles’ posts on social media. But that is about to change. Starting next week, every Monday at 8 pm, ‘The Mental Health Moles’ will be back, bringing discussions on mental health directly to you.

You can follow ‘The Mental Health Moles’ on their own social media channels:
