Standin’ in the light of your halo

(A poem inspired by Beyoncé song titles)
In the quiet of night, I hear Halo‘s hum,
A reminder I’m human, not always numb.
I fight through shadows, a Haunted maze,
Searching for peace, seeking brighter days.
The weight gets heavy, I feel so Broken-Hearted,
But there’s strength in me that’s yet uncharted.
I’ll rise like Flaws and All, still standing tall,
Even when I stumble, even when I fall.
They say I should be tough, no room for pain,
But this Jealous world, it drives me insane.
I shout for help, but it’s just Deja Vu,
Over and over, what am I to do?
But then I hear it, deep down in my soul,
A voice that whispers, “You’re still in control.”
Like a warrior’s cry in the dark Partition,
I remember my worth, I renew my mission.
So I’ll keep fighting, with my Superpower,
Through the storm, through the darkest hour.
I’ll find my light, I’ll break the chain,
Breathe deep, let go of the pain.
In the end, I’ll know this truth, so sweet,
I was never alone in my mental defeat.
Like Love on Top, I will rise above,
With courage, with hope, with self-love.
XO to every man on this same fight,
Together, we’ll chase the morning light.
