(A poem inspired by Dionne Warwick song titles)

I’ll Never Fall in Love Again
Sometimes it feels like the weight is too much,
A heavy heart, a lost touch.
Walk On By, they say, but I can’t ignore,
The silent struggles that leave me sore.

Do You Know the Way to San Jose?
Searching for peace, a place to belong,
In a world where the silence feels wrong.
That’s What Friends Are For, I reach out a hand,
To show that it’s okay to not always stand.

I Say a Little Prayer every day for the strength,
To share my burdens and go the length.
A House is Not a Home if I’m alone,
So let’s build connections, let feelings be shown.

Reach Out for Me when you’re feeling low,
Together we rise, together we grow.
The Way We Were can change in an instant,
Let’s open our hearts, and be persistent.

I’ll Never Love This Way Again if I hide,
The truth of my struggles that I can’t abide.
Always Something There to Remind Me to be real,
To embrace every moment, to learn how to heal.
