(A poem inspired by Lenny Kravitz song titles)

In this Fields of Joy, I stand alone,
Searching for peace in the unknown.
I want to Fly Away, escape this weight,
But I’m stuck in this Black Velveteen state.

Believe they tell me, but it’s hard to see,
When It Ain’t Over ’til It’s Over keeps haunting me.
Are You Gonna Go My Way? I shout to the sky,
Hoping for answers, for reasons why.

Let Love Rule, my heart begins to plea,
But the world feels heavy, drowning me.
In the silence of the night, I Build This Garden For Us,
A place to heal, to shed the dust.

Yet Can’t Get You Off My Mind, the darkness stays,
Wrestling with shadows in endless days.
But somewhere deep, a fire’s alight,
A whispering call to Stand By My Woman and fight.

I’ll Dig In and rise, Be, once more,
Breaking through barriers, reaching the core.
For every fall, there’s strength to regain,
In this Heaven Help, I’ll heal the pain.

So, in this journey, I’ll Bring It On,
For Love Revolution is where I belong.
Through every storm, I’ll find my way,
Because in this fight, I’ll be okay.
