The Weight of Love

(A poem inspired by U2 song titles)

Running to Stand Still,
I find my breath, yet feel the chill,
Sometimes You Can’t Make It On Your Own,
In the silence, I stand alone.

I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For,
Chasing shadows, wanting more,
With or Without You,
Caught in this battle, torn in two.

One, we rise, but often fall,
Staring at the Sun, through it all,
Walk On, I hear the call,
To break the chains and stand tall.

New Year’s Day brings a spark,
Hope ignites within the dark,
All I Want Is You,
A hand to hold, a heart that’s true.

Through the Miracle (of Joey Ramone),
I find the strength to face the unknown,
Every Breaking Wave has its turn,
In this fire, I will learn.

Love Is Blindness, yet I see,
In the struggle, I can be free,
The Unforgettable Fire within my soul,
Finding peace makes me whole.

Yahweh, hear my plea,
In this journey, I will be,
Not just surviving, but alive,
In the love, I will thrive.
