The proposed ‘For Men To Talk Cave’. We need your help!

‘For Men To Talk’ is a unique Community Interest Company (CIC) that supports men who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, or loneliness. It creates safe, welcoming spaces where men can talk openly and support each other. From physical and virtual meetings to walking and fishing groups, the organisation is already making a real difference.
Now, a new dream is taking shape — the creation of a permanent, multifunctional space called The ‘For Men To Talk Cave’ Community Space.
This would be a place where men can meet, talk, build, repair, create, and connect. A place where laughter, conversation, and practical skills come together to improve mental health and build a strong community.
But to make this dream real, we need your help.
Do you have a building, workshop, or piece of land that could be donated to help launch this project?
The ‘Cave’ will be much more than a simple workshop. It will be a space filled with tools, benches, and friendly faces. Men can take part in woodworking, build bird boxes, repair bikes, or work on community projects. They can pass on skills, learn new ones, and gain confidence along the way.
Luke Newman, the founder of ‘For Men To Talk’, explains: “The Cave will be a safe and creative space where men can be themselves — without judgment or pressure. It’s about giving them purpose, pride, and people they can rely on.”
This is especially important for retired or unemployed men, who often face isolation and loss of purpose. The Cave will offer routine, connection, and a sense of achievement. It’s a place to be active, talk naturally, and feel part of something meaningful.
The benefits go beyond just the men who attend. Finished products like handmade furniture, bird boxes, and upcycled bikes can be sold to help fund the project and keep it sustainable. Local communities will also benefit from seasonal events, conservation work, and the impact of stronger mental health support in their area.
Because ‘For Men To Talk’ is a registered Community Interest Company, donations and support go directly to helping people — not private profit. This means that if you can donate space, tools, or support, your gift has real, lasting impact.
We are actively looking for a location — somewhere we can turn into a welcoming, hands-on hub for men’s wellbeing. If you or your organisation can help by donating space or resources, please get in touch.
Together, we can build more than furniture. We can build hope, connection, and a future where no man has to struggle in silence.
