Chasing Pavements

(A poem inspired by Adele song titles)

I’m feeling Tired,
Worn out from the fight.
Hiding My Heart,
In shadows, out of sight.

It’s Chasing Pavements,
Not knowing where they lead,
In a world that never slows,
Yet All I Ask is to breathe.

Sometimes it’s Water Under the Bridge,
But the weight still remains,
Like a Million Years Ago,
Before I learned pain’s name.

Set Fire to the Rain,
Let the tears pour down,
Though Turning Tables inside,
I won’t let them drown.

I’ll rise Skyfall,
Even when I feel small.
Through storms, I’ll stand tall,
Knowing it’s okay to fall.

With every breath, I’ll fight again,
Because Love in the Dark
Means healing within.
