In My Lifetime

(A poem inspired by Jay-Z song titles)
In the shadows, I feel like Lost One,
Searching for peace, but it’s 99 Problems,
Gotta confront the weight, Hard Knock Life,
Facing my demons, Can’t Knock the Hustle in strife.
Sometimes it’s Blueprint for a new day,
Change in my mind, trying to find my way,
Through the Heart of the City, I walk alone,
Allure of the silence, but I need a home.
Feeling In My Lifetime, can I be free?
Moment of Clarity, just me being me,
In the Encore, I want to stand tall,
Breaking down walls, I won’t let them fall.
With each step, I find Reasonable Doubt,
I’m On to the Next One, and that’s what it’s about.
Through Minority Report, I’ll speak my truth,
In this battle for wellness, reclaiming my youth.
So here’s to the struggle, D’Evils we face,
Together we rise, finding strength in this space,
In the Empire State of Mind, we’ll share our fight,
For men’s mental health, we’ll ignite the light.
