I’m still standing

(A poem inspired by Elton John song titles)
Sometimes I feel like a Rocket Man,
Drifting through space,
Searching for peace, but caught in the race.
In the quiet, there’s a Sad Songs (Say So Much) refrain,
But I hold tight, pushing through the pain.
In the mirror, I see Someone Saved My Life Tonight,
A reminder that even in the darkest fight,
There’s always a way to be Stronger Than I Ever Was,
Though it’s tough, I rise because…
I’m still standing, after all this time,
Like a Tiny Dancer, holding onto the rhyme,
Life’s a Circle of Life, sometimes high, sometimes low,
But I’ll keep going, no matter how slow.
With Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me, I cry,
But I won’t let this break me, no, not I,
Because deep inside, I know I’m free,
And that’s the man I’m meant to be.
