For Men To Talk joins the Imagine Foundation Celebration 2025

General News, News & Events

‘For Men To Talk’ was proud to attend the Imagine Foundation Celebration 2025, held on Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 November. The two-day event brought together all Imagine Foundation partners for a special gathering that takes place every 18 months. It offered a supportive space to celebrate achievements, share learning, and build stronger connections across a wide range of community-focused groups.

The Imagine Foundation community is built on collaboration. Partners come together not only to reflect on their progress, but also to learn from one another’s experiences. This year’s celebration highlighted how organisations can help people navigate challenges that are often shared across different groups and communities. The event followed a day-and-a-half format, giving plenty of time for presentations, workshops, and informal discussions.

A range of themes were explored, each one showing the depth and diversity of the work being done by Imagine Foundation partners. These groups included:

  • Empowering children and young people
  • Empowering young men and young fathers
  • Empowering adults who have experienced multiple disadvantage
  • Changing perceptions and giving individuals and groups a voice
  • Supporting well-being and mental health, promoting resilience
  • Building communities
  • Building community and reducing food waste
  • Resourcing and advocating for small charities

‘For Men To Talk’ was able to learn from each of these areas, understanding how different organisations are supporting people through practical help, emotional support, and opportunities for growth. The event also encouraged open conversations, giving partners the chance to share tools, ideas, and stories that can strengthen their work.

Luke Newman, CEO and founder of ‘For Men To Talk’, found the experience invaluable. He said, “I learnt so much from every presentation and workshop, even conversations during the evening over a meal or drink was extremely helpful.”

Luke also reflected on how these insights will influence his leadership. “My role is making high-level decisions, setting company goals, managing overall operations, and acting as the public face of the company. Learning from the more established partners at the Imagine Foundation celebration will enable me to fulfil my obligations more effectively.”

The Imagine Foundation awarded funding to ‘For Men To Talk’ in July 2025 after being inspired by Luke’s passion and commitment. The foundation recognised the importance of supporting the organisation’s growth and helping it reach more men who need a safe space to talk about their mental health.

Attending the celebration was another important step in that journey. The knowledge, connections, and encouragement gained from the event will help ‘For Men To Talk’ continue to strengthen its services and broaden its impact. The gathering showed how powerful it can be when organisations come together to learn, share, and support one another.

With fresh ideas and renewed motivation, ‘For Men To Talk’ looks forward to putting these learnings into practice and continuing its mission to support men’s mental health in the local communities.
