For Men To Talk Launches Social Club – About Time Together, Not Tough Conversations

For the last six years, ‘For Men To Talk’ has been helping men across the UK through physical, virtual, walking and even fishing meetings. These sessions have given men a safe place to talk about how they are really feeling, especially when dealing with anxiety, depression or grief.
Now, the Community Interest Company is proud to announce something new – the ‘For Men To Talk’ Social Club.
This is a fresh idea that sits within the ‘For Men To Talk’ brand, but it is not a mental health support group. Instead, it is “about time together, not tough conversations.” It is simply about getting out of the house, doing normal things, and enjoying the company of other men.
The ‘For Men To Talk’ Social Club will offer monthly trips to places such as restaurants, cinemas and comedy clubs. Men can just turn up, relax and be themselves.
For many men, life can slowly become smaller. After retirement, divorce, redundancy or illness, routines disappear. Friends drift away. Days feel empty. Some men wake up feeling isolated, forgotten or invisible, as if everyone else has a life but them.
The ‘For Men To Talk’ Social Club aims to break this cycle.
By giving men something to look forward to each month, it helps to rebuild routine, structure and purpose. It can restore a sense of social identity and belonging. It reminds men that they still matter and that they are not alone.
Luke Newman, CEO and founder of ‘For Men To Talk’, said: “The Social Club is about fun, friendship and time together. It’s not therapy and it’s not about tough conversations. It’s about getting men out of the house, sharing experiences and reminding them they are part of something.”
While the Social Club is a new and exciting step, the original ‘For Men To Talk’ groups remain at the heart of the Community Interest Company.
‘For Men To Talk’ is a peer support group for men who are struggling with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression and grief. The groups offer a safe and comfortable space where men can talk openly about many areas of life, including work, relationships and worries.
There are no rules, no forms to fill in and no referrals needed. Men can say as much or as little as they like. Sometimes just listening is enough.
The Social Club does not replace this support. It sits alongside it, offering a different way to connect – through everyday life, shared laughter and simple moments out together.
Together, these two parts of the ‘For Men To Talk’ brand now cover both sides of life:
support when times are hard, and company when men just need something positive to look forward to.
