‘For Men To Talk’ is walking the TCS London Marathon MyWay for the Fifth Year. Join them?

On Sunday 26 April 2026, thousands of people across the UK and beyond will take part in the TCS London Marathon MyWay. This unique event lets you complete the famous 26.2 miles anywhere, anytime between 00:00 and 23:59:59 BST. You can walk, jog, or run, on country lanes, city streets, or up and over hills.
For the fifth year running, the men of ‘For Men To Talk’ will proudly take part. Together, they will walk the full marathon distance, showing that completing a challenge is not just about physical strength, but also about connection and support.
“Walking side by side helps men open up in ways that sitting face-to-face sometimes doesn’t,” says Luke Newman, founder of ‘For Men To Talk’. “Training together for something like the marathon is about fitness, yes, but also about building friendships and talking honestly about life.”
Training Together
Preparing for 26.2 miles is no small task. That’s why ‘For Men To Talk’ will run weekly training walks every Sunday for 12 weeks leading up to the event. These sessions are not just about building stamina. They are about creating a safe, supportive space where men can talk while walking.
Sharing struggles, swapping stories, or just enjoying comfortable silence – the benefits go far beyond fitness. Many men find that training with others boosts motivation, keeps them accountable, and gives them a reason to step outside both physically and emotionally.
The Reward of the Finish Line
Crossing the marathon finish line – wherever you are – is an incredible achievement. For the men of ‘For Men To Talk’, it’s a double victory. They complete a world-famous endurance event, and they raise awareness and funds for a cause that truly changes lives.
The sense of pride, accomplishment, and community is a reward like no other. Whether you take a gentle pace or push yourself hard, the journey is just as important as the destination.
Why It Matters
‘For Men To Talk’ is a Community Interest Company (CIC). This means it exists to benefit the community rather than private profit. The group was set up to help men speak openly about anxiety, depression, grief, and other challenges.
Today, it offers physical meet-ups, online sessions, fishing trips, and walking meetings. All of these give men the chance to connect, share, and feel less alone. But like many small organisations, ‘For Men To Talk’ relies on grants, donations, and fundraising to survive.
If any money is raised through the TCS London Marathon MyWay, it will help keep the group running. It will fund day-to-day costs like social media, marketing, blogs, and website updates, as well as the meetings themselves.
